PLAY CENTRES:
For children between the ages of 4 and 12, there are play centres which provide opportunities to play and learn and are open during the school year. This public service is available at a reduced price and there are discounts for siblings. For further information and enrolment, consult the civic centres where this service is provided.

SUMMER CAMPS "UDALEKUAK":
At the end of the school year and during the month of August, children between the ages of 4 and 14 have access to urban summer camps organized by Basauri Town Council. Accompanied by educators, the children participate in different activities and games throughout the day. A lunch service may also be provided. There is a reduced price for this service and there are discounts for siblings. For further information and enrolment consult the Basauri Town Council, Department of Cultural Policy and Basque, and visit the municipal webpage: www.basauri.net.
Throughout the summer, activities are organised byBasauri Sport that can be looked up on the webpage or at its main office at the Artunduaga Sports Centre.
During the summer months, other public institutions or private entities organise various types of summer camps for children. Schools can provide information about these activities and also at theYouth Information Office.
Youth
ZIRT-ZART
If you are between 16 and 35 years of age, there is a free service that can advise you about educational and training paths, job offers, cultural resources, sports, leisure and trips. This service can be found at theYouth Information Office Zirt-Zart which is in the Basozelai Civic Centre. This service can issue you with a Youth Card (or Gazte Txartela) and the hostelling card. Many leisure and cultural activities are organised for young people in Basauri, and these can be looked up on www.basauri.net or at the civic centre itself.
YOUTH CENTRE "GAZTEGUNE"
At the Basozelai Civic Centre and at theTaberna Mayor in San Miguel there is also another service for young people, theYouth Cente "Gaztegune" for young people between the age of 12 and 30. Here you can find games, magazines, CDs and DVDs and video games, access to internet and rehearsal rooms for bands. All this is available free of charge, except for the rehearsal room where a small fee is charged. Workshops and meetings are also organised.
The programme of events can be consulted in each civic centre or at the Youth Information Centre "Zirt-Zart".
MULTIADVENTURE CAMPS
The Town Council organises these camps for children between the ages of 12 and 17 during the last week of June and the first week of July
